We have delightfully and successfully run this quaint dwelling for a few years now. Met and interacted with people from all over the world. Gathered invaluable insight and unparalleled experiences into various cultures, behaviours and practices and most importantly, enjoyed ourselves.

Covid gave us an opportunity to take time to renovate and rejuvenate the place. We are now open for bookings. Re-publishing the post for the benefit of those who are new to this little-known magical place. I believe it is a true find! Honestly, maybe not so modestly! 🙂

We are aviators, living and working in Mumbai since almost two decades. We have had the opportunity to travel around the world for work and holidays.

The standard hotel room stay when at work, is no different from another, no matter the city, making it familiar yet impersonal. For our family travel, we have always chosen offbeat and bespoke places to stay and we have had some wonderful experiences with people and their homes.

 

We wanted to offer a similar experience to travellers like us, this time as hosts. 

Hence, we did the 2 bedroom apartment lovingly and tastefully, chronicling our travels and collectibles from over the years where everything has a story.

 It is one of the better locations to live and explore while in Mumbai. It is in the vicinity of the business district of Mumbai, Bandra kurla complex. Dotted with Offices, restaurants, banks, hospitals, schools, exhibition halls, concert grounds, visa offices. The US consulate and the Mumbai University are within walking distance. The building is on the main junction on CST road leading directly to the highways out of Mumbai (connecting Pune, Nasik, Goa etc) and into the island city (south Mumbai) via Bandra worli Sea-link within minutes. It is a 5 minute ride to Kurla station and a 15 minute ride to the international airport. The metro is coming soon. Taxis, rickshaws and Uber are easily available right outside. There are a host of eateries within the building like McDonalds’, Maroosh, Subway and Baskin robbins. Lots of food home delivery around too. Basically, all sorted. 

The apartment itself is a quiet  600sqft ,2 bedroom space with calming views of lush green trees from every room and has a warm, homely feel. The well lit house is fully furnished with every modern amenity is available. It has 1 double bed, 1 single bed (convertible to double),a sofa bed, 2 fully equipped bathrooms with shower cubicles and a Fully set up kitchen. It is ideal for 2-4 people, even though it can accomodate more. We have taken great care in the little details and this will be noticed by our guests. 

As hosts, we look forward to engaging and interacting with the visitors, if they so wish. On offer is a well stocked fridge with fresh fruit, juices,yoghurt, milk, bread and cheeses and much more. An ease of convenience and a delight for any traveller to come to a welcoming place to stay. 

We add thoughtful surprises for our long term guests so they look back and remember their stay with great fondness. Truly, a home away from home.

The complex has a 24 hour valet service, security and parking. A small gym is available on the top floor with a scenic view of Bandra Kurla Complex. Grocery and essentials easily available right below. 

A keen traveller looking for a unique experience and a work traveller preferring a place with character, will thoroughly enjoy this bespoke boutique apartment that offers more than just a place to stay in the maximum city of Mumbai.

Our stay at this beautiful Hometree was serene despite busy outside of Mumbai. Hometree was not only full of amenities but also we found small thoughtful touches (welcome note, food/snack supplies, prompt responses for even tiny things etc etc) from the wonderful hosts (Geetanjali and Mahesh). We really loved staying here!
